About the event
House of the South Hosts Day2Nite Charity Event Supporting Dorset Mind
We are proud to announce the next Day2Nite charity event at The Bell on 23rd May from 2pm until Midnight! Day2Nite is a mini House of the South and House of Trance festival raising money for the important mental health support charity Dorset Mind. We have 10 hours of brilliant music starting with House of the South on the outdoor garden stage with 5 hours of brilliant house music. Then at 7pm we switch to the indoor stage for 5 hours of hands in the air trance music. We will be supported by representatives from Dorset Mind who will be collecting donations and we will be putting profits for bbq, t-shirt and stall sales to this great cause.
The Event
Garden Party (all ages): 2pm – House of the South DJs & No Originals team up for 5 hours of house music, BBQ, face painting, and glow accessories.
Indoor Trance Party (18+): 7pm – Headliner Ben Harding and Bournemouth Trance Family join House of Trance DJ for 5 hours of trance!
HOTS has been putting on events at The Bell for three years and has supported the pub’s summer Family Charity Event for the past two years. It’s a great community pub with a welcoming landlady, fantastic staff, and friendly locals. All profits from the BBQ will be donated to Dorset Mind.
Entry is free, with donations encouraged to support Dorset Mind’s counselling, mentoring, wellbeing groups, and mental health support across the county.
Community & Mental Health Impact
Dancing to electronic music has positive effects on mental health, helping participants feel mindful, connected, and uplifted. Rave-style environments have been linked to improved mood, self-confidence, and overall wellbeing.
A spokesperson from Dorset Mind said:
“We are super excited that HOTS has chosen to support Dorset Mind. Events like this bring people together in a safe, welcoming environment where music, community, and shared experience can make a real difference for local people’s wellbeing.”
Praise from the Community
“What a lovely group you are… you care, that’s what matters, and you will continue to grow because you are genuine, kind people.”
“Love House of the South, all it stands for, and the friends I’ve made along the way. THANK YOU.”
